Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our El Tiempo Cantina Webster restaurant team! In this dynamic role, you will support the overall operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient food production, and smooth shift management. Your leadership will inspire staff, uphold food safety standards, and drive profitability. Duties Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff and ensuring quality service delivery Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of taste, presentation, and safety Use POS systems like Toast to process orders, handle cash transactions, and generate sales reports Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment Train new team members on food handling, customer service protocols, and restaurant procedures Supervise shift activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations Support management in analyzing profit and loss statements to optimize revenue streams and control expenses Requirements Weekends/Holidays/Open, Mid, and Closing Shifts FOH Experience Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within the food industry or hospitality sector Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast; cash handling expertise essential Knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control, and food production processes Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and manage customer interactions positively Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting Basic math skills for order processing, inventory counting, and financial analysis Join us if you're passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality experiences!
