ABOUT THIS ROLE
We're looking for a General Manager to lead our Wylie Coffee location. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll own P&L, build and mentor a strong team, drive operational excellence, and embody the Armor culture every day. You'll report directly to leadership and have full autonomy to shape the direction of your location while staying connected to the broader Armor mission. This role is not a quick hire

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership and Culture
  • Build and maintain a high-performing, engaged team that reflects Armor's hospitality and quality standards
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and development for all staff at the Wylie location
  • Create a workplace where your team wants to show up, grow, and deliver excellent service
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that attracts and retains quality people
  • Handle personnel management, including feedback, performance development, and difficult conversations
  • Champion Armor's voice and values in every interaction
  • with staff, customers, and community Operations and Service Excellence
  • Oversee daily operations: opening, closing, inventory, cash handling, food safety, and customer experience
  • Maintain or exceed company standards for product quality, cleanliness, and service
  • Manage scheduling, labor costs, and operational metrics to meet company targets
  • Troubleshoot issues quickly and implement sustainable solutions
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors; manage inventory ordering and receiving
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements Financial and Business Management
  • Own P&L responsibility for the Wylie location
  • Monitor labor, cost of goods sold, and operating expenses; identify efficiency opportunities
  • Work with leadership on pricing, promotions, and revenue strategies
  • Track KPIs and monthly scorecards; communicate performance transparently
  • Prepare and present regular financial and operational reports
  • Contribute to strategic planning and improvement initiatives Community and Growth
  • Build relationships with customers, community partners, and local stakeholders
  • Represent Armor Brand at community events and partnerships
  • Support growth initiatives, whether that's expanding menu offerings, launching new programs, or identifying opportunities
  • Gather customer feedback and translate it into operational improvements
  • Maintain Armor's reputation for quality and authentic hospitality
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 3+ years of restaurant/coffee shop management experience or equivalent demonstrated leadership in a hospitality/retail environment
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams
  • Strong operational and financial acumen; comfort with P&L management and metrics
  • Excellent communicator
  • clear, direct, and authentic in conversations with staff and leadership
  • Problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and finds practical solutions
  • Deep commitment to quality

  • Ability to work hands-on in the café (shift coverage, training, service during peaks) while managing from a leadership perspective
NICE TO HAVE
  • Coffee industry or specialty beverage experience
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems, inventory management, or scheduling platforms
  • Familiarity with Texas food service regulations and labor laws
