Garage Grill Draper is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our Back of House operations with professionalism, accountability, and a passion for exceptional food and hospitality. Position Summary As the Kitchen Manager , you will provide leadership for all Back of House operations while partnering with the Assistant Kitchen Manager to ensure exceptional food quality, food safety, operational efficiency, and team performance. This is a full-time leadership position requiring a commitment of 45 hours per week minimum, with additional hours as business needs require. Essential Responsibilities Oversee all daily Back of House operations. Lead by example while maintaining Garage Grill Draper's standards for food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and presentation. Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop Kitchen Team Members. Create schedules that balance operational needs while effectively managing labor costs. Oversee employee performance through coaching, performance management, and accountability. Ensure compliance with all health department regulations, food safety standards, and company policies. Monitor food preparation to ensure recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards are consistently followed. Oversee inventory management, purchasing, receiving, product rotation, and vendor relationships. Control food costs through proper ordering, waste reduction, and portion control. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Partner with the Front of House Management Team to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Analyze kitchen operations and implement improvements that increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented culture while maintaining high performance standards. Qualifications Required Minimum of three (3) years of recent Kitchen Management experience in a full-service restaurant . Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop Kitchen Team Members. Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, sanitation, food safety, inventory management, and cost controls. Experience managing labor costs, food costs, purchasing, and inventory. Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
