A Restaurant or Food Service Manager oversees daily operations at a restaurant or an institution that serves meals such as a college or hospital. Hires, trains and supervises food service workers, manages meal and work schedules, supervises supply orders, food preparation and the quality of food and service, and monitors compliance with health regulations.
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our 2nd shift operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure safety compliance, and drive efficiency improvements. Key duties include supervising staff, managing production schedules, analyzing KPIs to reduce waste (lean manufacturing), and facilitating cross-functional communication to meet quality and output goals. It is critical that you demonstrate good attendance and punctuality, which are an essential part of all AOC Metal Works positions. This position reports to the Plant Operations Manager.
Principal Responsibilities:

Production & Operational Oversight:
Support daily operations by implementing strategies to increase productivity, quality, and efficiency. Monitor and maintain manufacturing machinery and warehouse workflow.
Team Leadership & Management :
Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate production staff. Coordinate scheduling and shift coverage to meet production targets.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety regulations (OHS) and ensure products meet quality standards through regular inspections.
Process Improvement:
Apply lean manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate waste, improving overall operational effectiveness.
Reporting & Analysis:
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), analyze operational data, and prepare reports for senior management to guide decision-making.
Budgeting & Maintenance:
Assist in managing operational budgets and coordinating equipment maintenance, including preventive maintenance for mechanical and electrical systems. Qualifications 3-5 years' proven experience in manufacturing operations, production planning, or supervisory roles. Hands-on experience of day-to-day management of complex and interrelated manufacturing operations Demonstrated experience with process and equipment troubleshooting, investigation and resolution of deviations, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions Deep understanding of
ISO 9001
standards; prior experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance documentation Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills; proficiency in ERP systems and Excel. Ability to work in a sometimes loud, manufacturing environment, requiring standing and moving heavy materials.
