BANQUET MANAGER Lead Exceptional Events From Planning to Execution Are you a hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating memorable events? We are seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to oversee the successful execution of weddings, corporate meetings, conferences, social events, and catered functions. This is an exciting opportunity to lead event operations, manage banquet teams, and ensure every event exceeds guest expectations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Event Operations & Leadership Review and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) Coordinate room setups, event timelines, and service styles Ensure all client specifications are delivered accurately Direct event setup, service, breakdown, and room transitions Oversee multiple events and functions occurring simultaneously Team Management Schedule and supervise banquet captains, servers, and setup teams Manage temporary and agency staff during peak business periods Lead, coach, and support banquet team members Ensure staffing levels align with event requirements and service standards Guest & Client Relations Serve as the primary on-site contact for event clients Resolve event-related concerns quickly and professionally Deliver exceptional customer service throughout each event Build positive relationships with clients and internal departments Coordination & Planning Partner with Sales and Culinary teams to prepare for upcoming events Coordinate staffing, equipment, and service needs Manage banquet room turns and changeovers within tight timelines Ensure flawless execution of multi-day meetings and conferences
FINANCIAL & OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor banquet labor costs and staffing efficiency Manage temporary labor expenses within budget guidelines Review agency invoices for accuracy Track linen and equipment inventory Identify replacement and replenishment needs Monitor loss and damage of banquet assets Verify guest counts and service additions for accurate event billing Support operational and financial goals of the department

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience Minimum 2 years of banquet or catering management experience Hotel, conference center, or event venue experience preferred Experience overseeing banquet teams in high-volume environments Experience managing both permanent and temporary staff preferred Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and team development skills Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to read and execute complex Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight timelines Excellent communication and customer service skills Experience coordinating multiple events simultaneously
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stand and walk for extended periods during event setup and service Assist with moving banquet equipment, tables, chairs, and linens Regularly lift up to 40 pounds Work throughout banquet spaces, meeting rooms, and hotel facilities Available to work flexible schedules, including: Early mornings Evenings Weekends Holidays
