Smith McDonald's is seeking a high‑energy, people‑driven Hiring Manager to lead our centralized recruiting program across 11 restaurant locations on the Virginia Peninsula. This enhanced role is ideal for a fast‑food professional ready to take the next step in their career—someone who can attract, inspire, and onboard customer‑obsessed individuals who thrive in a winning team environment. The Hiring Manager will champion our Employee Value Proposition (EVP), drive applicant flow, and ensure every new hire experiences a seamless, professional, and motivating introduction to our organization. Key Responsibilities Drive applicant flow by marketing open positions across multiple platforms and community channels. Screen applicants to identify top talent for crew, leadership, and management roles. Manage pre-employment screening to strict company standards. Conduct interviews via phone, Zoom, and in-person sessions. Prepare and present job offers with clarity and professionalism. Process new hires through Mchire and onboard through Life Lenz. Facilitate weekly New Hire Orientations. Collaborative Efforts Represent J. Smith McDonald's at job fairs, universities, community events, and youth programs. Partner with HR to refine and adjust recruiting processes. Work with Area Supervisors to respond to weekly staffing needs and trends. Present weekly and monthly recruiting and retention updates. Partner closely with HR to refine, improve, and maintain recruiting processes. Work in alignment with Area Supervisors to address weekly staffing needs and operational trends. Deliver weekly and monthly recruiting and retention updates to leadership with clarity and actionable insights.
