  • Full-time Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Manager at Locust Grove Primary School to oversee the daily operations of our food services department.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food preparation and service while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of food service, including food preparation, cooking, and serving. Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a well-functioning team. Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional standards and customer preferences. Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed, managing food costs effectively. Establish and enforce sanitation and safety protocols in accordance with local and state regulations. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and materials. Address customer feedback and concerns promptly and professionally to enhance satisfaction. Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining quality service. Conduct regular inspections of food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in food service management or a similar role. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in inventory management and budgeting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe) is a plus. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
