Kitchen Manager Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Operate as the Kitchen Manager with a variety of tasks Existing Food Handler's license or obtain licence prior to first day and also continue to keep Food Handler's license current Stock food and supplies Prepare and serve beverages such as coffee, tea, and juice Put out
Continental Breakfast:
cakes, pastries, etc. before opening Prepare each meal including moving items to and from cooking and serving areas Wash, peel and cut various foods to prepare for cooking and serving Cook and re-heat food items; Select food items from serving and storage areas and place them on trays Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, containers, etc. Maintains work areas in a sanitized and orderly manner in compliance with state health and safety regulations Arrange tables and eating utensils according to process Clean and organize eating and service areas Make shopping list Maintain clean and organized freezer, refrigerator, and pantry areas Prepare easy to serve meals such as defrosted meat, sandwich ingredients, prepared casseroles or canned meals such as ravioli for known absences of Kitchen Manager Follow CFO Food Policy Reports any health and/or safety concerns/violations Support special events Ensure kitchen appliances and equipment have been cleaned and tumed off at the end of each workday.
