REPORTS TO

Manager of Vendor Sales

THE ROLE

This role oversees all alcohol operations during the State Fair of Virginia.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Oversee Festival Loop, Harvest Landing, Special Events (in Meadow Hall), Rodeo and FBC alcohol operations.

Open and close bar locations each day.

Connect POS devices and ensure staff know how to operate the POS

Distribute wristbands and ID scanners.

Disconnect all POS equipment at the end of the day

Communicate with locations on restocking needs

Coordinate restocking

Oversee Clover and ID scanner equipment

Be the primary contact for bartenders

POSITION

Entry Level The position will include some, but not necessarily all the above primary duties.

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent

MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Punctuality

Ability to work multiple days in a row

Applicant must be available September 25 - October 4, 2026

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

WORKING CONDITIONS

Outdoor environment

Position will begin on September 25, 2026.

Schedule will include day, evening, and weekend shifts during the State Fair, September 25 - October 4, 2026
