Sep 18, 2026 Job Description The Jay Westfield Joint Elementary School is looking for a Food Service Manager/Cook who is friendly, organized, dependable and a motivated team player who cares about the well-being of students and wants to provide high quality, nutritious meals comprised of local ingredients to students. Candidates must have previous experience in food service and program management, be flexible to change and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Duties include: overall responsibility for the school's food service program; develop and monitor food service budget; maintain high standards of food preparation and service; purchasing foods and supplies needed; maintain integrity and accountability of the program through compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations; complete Claim for Reimbursement using the Department of Education's financial management system. This is a 190- day position at 7 hours per day, with an additional 5 hours per week for 35 weeks for the food agency portion. The position would start mid-September 2026.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary based on experience and benefits as per the employment policy. Hourly rate could vary between $21.60 and $23.00, depending on previous experience.
