Job Description
Layla's Bar + Kitchen is looking for a Kitchen Manager who takes pride in creating great food, building a strong team, and running an organized, high-performing kitchen. We're a locally owned restaurant that believes memorable experiences start with people who genuinely care about what they do. We're looking for someone who enjoys hands on work in the kitchen and wants to help build something special. What You'll Do Maintain high food quality and presentation standards Manage inventory and food ordering Control food costs and minimize waste Ensure cleanliness and health code compliance Train and develop kitchen staff Work closely with ownership to improve menus, systems, and operations Help create a positive, respectful, team-first culture We're Looking For Someone Who Has previous kitchen leadership experience Leads with positivity and accountability Thrives in a fast-paced environment Is organized and dependable Communicates well with both kitchen and front-of-house teams Enjoys coaching others and helping people grow Cares about consistency and attention to detail Wants to be part of a restaurant that's invested in the community What We Offer $22/hour starting wage Full-time, year-round position Free shift meal Free shift drink Potential monthly performance bonus (based on experience and results) Opportunity to help shape menus, systems, and the future of the restaurant Supportive ownership that values ideas and initiative About Layla's Layla's Bar + Kitchen is a locally owned neighborhood restaurant in downtown Chelan serving elevated comfort food, handcrafted cocktails, and genuine hospitality.
