The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires effective leadership skills to manage kitchen staff, maintain high standards of food safety, and ensure efficient kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment. Duties Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality food preparation and presentation. Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Train and develop kitchen staff in food handling, cooking techniques, and safety protocols. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Implement menu changes and assist with food production for special events or holidays. Collaborate with management to create budgets and manage costs effectively. Manage a team of kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new kitchen staff. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership. Skills Proven experience in kitchen management within quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining establishments. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and presentation standards. Excellent organizational skills for inventory control and budgeting. Ability to train and develop staff effectively while promoting teamwork. Strong leadership qualities with experience in supervising kitchen staff. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations within the food industry. Experience in restaurant management or hospitality management is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Qualifications Previous experience in kitchen management or a similar role Short order/breakfast experience 2+years Management of a perishable inventory Menu costing and recipe adherence Scheduling of labor and ensuring proper training Managing systems and tools to ensure product rotation, cleaning and maintenance are accomplished.
