Job Overview We are on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations during the night shift. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering top-notch food service. As a Night Shift Kitchen Manager, you'll lead our culinary team, ensure food safety standards are met, and manage the overall flow of kitchen activities to keep everything running smoothly. Your leadership will help create an inviting atmosphere where quality and efficiency are at the forefront. Responsibilities Supervise daily kitchen operations during night hours, ensuring all food preparation, cooking, and presentation meet established standards. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste. Oversee food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations. Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff to enhance their skills and ensure high performance in food production and service. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service flow and timely delivery of meals. Conduct shift management tasks including scheduling, supervising team members, and addressing any operational issues promptly. Experience Proven management experience in a food service setting, preferably with casual dining or fast food restaurant backgrounds. Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management best practices. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable. Experience with inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food safety management. Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, interviewing potential team members, and supervising hospitality teams. Previous roles involving shift management in a restaurant or catering environment are advantageous. Excellent communication skills combined with a solid understanding of customer service principles within the food industry.
