DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys running shifts, coaching teams, and ensuring an excellent guest experience in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Manager will frequently work shifts opposite from the General Manager and will function in the same capacity when the General Manager is not on site. This position is designed to develop future leaders and provide the skills, experience, and accountability needed to advance into a General Manager role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the General Manager with daily restaurant operations Open and close the restaurant and actively lead shifts Act as the manager on duty when the General Manager is not present Ensure high standards of Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Product Quality, Facility Maintenance, and Speed of Service Coach, motivate, and support team members during shifts Assist with scheduling, labor control, inventory management, and ordering Monitor food quality, service speed, and guest satisfaction Ensure proper cash handling, safety, security, and food safety procedures are followed Support hiring, training, and onboarding of team members Complete required daily and shift-level paperwork Work closely with the General Manager to learn and develop core management and leadership skills
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Previous leadership experience in a restaurant setting (Shift Manager or similar role preferred) Ability to run the restaurant independently when required Strong leadership and communication skills Willingness to work flexible and opposing shifts, including nights and weekends Desire to grow and advance into a General Manager position Understanding of basic restaurant operations, labor, and inventory control Commitment to hospitality, quality, and team development Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Ability to meet physical job requirements, including standing for extended periods and light lifting
