Job Description

We are looking for a Kitchen Manager 2026-2027 starting immediately. This individual should be a self starter and be willling to work in a fast paced kitchen environment. This position is for Kitchen Manager but will require line cooking as well. We are looking for someone with experience in the kitchen, someone with good people and communication skills, and with a great attitude! Cleanliness and ability to manage your staff. We are a family owned Motel, Restaurant and Bar featuring a stepped up homestyle food with excellent lunch and dinner specials. We have breakfast, lunch and dinner service as well as a coffee shop, pizzeria and Bar. We are the only restaurant within 40 miles in any direction. We are particular about our kitchen cleanliness and staff hygiene, and food quality! Our shifts are scheduled for a 6am to 1pm shift or a 1 pm to 9pm shift 5 days a week. You would work under the direction of our owner/managers. You would be responsible for all operations of the Kitchen, including staff managment and scheduling to ensure seamless kitchen operations, Inventory and ordering of supplies, working with managers to evaluate and improve food cost percentages, ensuring compliance with regulations and continuous readiness for inspections. Making certain that the kitchen and equipment are in good operating condition. Food Safe Certified or equivalent. Establish and ensure procedures for monitoring food temps and dates. Cooking and Prepping food and Cleaning your station for the next shift. Integrity and Honesty are paramount. Line cooking when needed and covering for your staff when they are sick or unable to come in is part of the job as well. We have frequent live music and dancing opportunities (mostly country/western). We would provide you with your own private motel room during your stay, Pets MAY be considered. A stable roommate would be acceptable. Rooms are nonsmoking! Alcoholics need not apply. There are quiet hours enforced. We offer a 50% discount for one meal per shift in the restaurant. We are located in a lush valley on a river with Desert to the west and high mountains with Elk, Deer, Bear, Moose, Mountain Lions, and Antelope to the east. We have Wild Horses and Desert landscapes for a hundred miles! Wonderful hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing and fishing, hunting and camping and boating opportunities abound. Vast amounts of public lands to access within a couple of miles of the job location.
