Exempt Job Summary:
We are seeking a positive and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team. The Assistant Manager supports daily restaurant operations in alignment with company standards while maintaining active engagement with guests and employees. This role plays a key part in elevating service, supporting staff, and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant. Duties & Responsibilities Perform any job function within the restaurant as needed Attend monthly manager meetings Accurately track and sign invoices for payment Provide accounting with employment documents including applications, W4 forms, and pay rates Keep staff focused with clear and measurable goals Handle disciplinary and human resources matters in partnership with management Support promotion and advertising of restaurant and hotel facilities Take a lead, hands-on role in front-of-house operations including bar, meeting spaces, and dining room Ensure all company policies and Best Western brand standards are met and upheld Fill in as Manager on Duty as needed while maintaining clear communication with the Restaurant Manager Review scheduled events, dining room needs, meeting space functions, product changes, staffing concerns, and promotions with the Restaurant Manager Track and manage invoices and required paperwork in a timely manner Complete liquor orders as assigned Participate in end-of-month food and beverage inventories Monitor and respond to online reviews and social media feedback Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and well-kept operation Lead regular front-of-house employee meetings Perform closing duties and nightly reporting as assigned Monitor and respond to restaurant-related emails Perform additional duties and tasks as assignedQualifications & Skills:
Minimum of two years of management experience Positive attitude, strong integrity, and solid work ethic Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of basic business functions including finance, HR, procurement, and operations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Proven leadership skills including hiring, coaching, and retaining staff Problem-solving aptitude Experience with planning and budgeting Proficient in basic computer usage including email, ordering platforms, and POS systems Must be 21 years of age or olderEducation & Experience:
Restaurant Management experience (2 years minimum)Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items up to fifty pounds without assistance Ability to reach overhead and below the knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping Compensation and benefits:- $50,000-$52,000 annually DOE
