Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and ensure cost-effective food production. Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations to guarantee a safe environment for staff and guests. Collaborate on menu planning with culinary staff, incorporating dietary considerations such as special diets or allergies while maintaining menu consistency. Manage catering events and banquet services, ensuring all food presentation meets fine dining standards and client expectations. Monitor food handling practices and ensure proper food management techniques are followed across all kitchen operations. Conduct regular quality checks on food production processes and implement improvements as needed to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. Oversee shift management duties, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring smooth transitions between shifts. Qualifications Proven experience in food service management with a strong background in restaurant or catering environments; banquet experience is highly desirable. Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead and develop a diverse culinary team effectively. Extensive culinary experience with knowledge of fine dining standards and food presentation techniques. Strong understanding of inventory control, cost management, and food safety sanitizing procedures. Experience in managing large-scale food production for events such as banquets or catering services. Knowledge of dietary department practices and accommodating special dietary needs within menu planning. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of hospitality. Familiarity with restaurant management systems, shift scheduling, and inventory management tools.
