Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Front-line representative and leader for the Respiratory Care Team, ensuring by observation and audits that department clinical, regulatory and financial practices and resources meet policy and operational needs of EAMC. Assigns work, coordinates patient care by direct and indirect observation, and assists staff at the bedside. Assist the RC management in establishing best practice performance and practice standards and ensuring adherence to department Policy and Procedures as well as clinical practice. The RCS advocates and demonstrates accountability, professional communication, teamwork, and shared decision-making of their team members. Responsible for the coordination of respiratory care activities for acute care, critical care and other related patient care areas. Strives to ensure appropriate coordination and distribution of staffing and resources.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy Minimum Experience 3 years clinical experience. Required Registration/License/Certification Alabama State and NBRC License of Respiratory Care within 1 year of hire/transfer BLS within 90 days of DOH ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 12 months of DOH Preferred Education BS degree in Respiratory Therapy from CoARC program Preferred Experience 5 years clinical experience. Previous supervisory experience Preferred Registration/License/Certification
RRT, RPFT, ACCS, NPS, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
