Receiving Supervisor Day Shift GFI West - Colton, CA 92324 Start Date 07/07/2026 End Date 09/07/2026 Apply Overview Salary Range $24.00 - $28.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift Any Education Level High School or GED Travel Percentage None Apply Description Job Overview Gourmet Foods International is seeking a motivated and hands-on Receiving Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Receiving Department. This position is responsible for supervising team members, ensuring accurate and efficient receiving processes, maintaining inventory integrity, and promoting a safe, organized, and productive work environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is committed to operational excellence, food safety, and employee development. What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include: Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Receiving Department Ensure all receiving procedures are followed accurately and efficiently Monitor inbound shipments to verify product accuracy, quality, and documentation Lead, coach, and support receiving team members to meet productivity and performance expectations Schedule work assignments and monitor daily labor hours, including overtime Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving, documentation, and communication with warehouse teams Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and prepared for the next shift Promote and enforce warehouse safety policies and procedures Maintain the safety, quality, and legality of food products Collaborate with Warehouse, Inventory Control, Transportation, and Operations teams to support daily business objectives Assist with problem resolution and continuous process improvement initiatives Things you need to be able to do: 3-5 years of warehouse supervisory experience Forklift experience and the ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Ability to work independently while leading a team Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull up to 30 pounds of force Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments for extended periods Consistent, regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Employees must be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to support business and operational needs. Things that are a plus but not a deal-breaker: High School Diploma or GED Experience in food distribution, cold storage, or warehouse operations Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) Inventory control or receiving experience Previous experience training or mentoring warehouse employees Bilingual (English/Spanish) What we think you'll love about
