Role Overview The Quality Supervisor leads the daily operations of the quality control team, ensuring that all products and processes meet established Harbinger standards and regulatory requirements. This role bridges the gap between floor-level inspections and high-level quality strategy, focusing on team leadership, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do:
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of quality inspectors and technicians. Manage shift schedules, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of quality and safety.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure all manufacturing processes and finished products comply with internal standards and external regulations.
Defect Management:
Lead investigations into non-conformances, customer complaints, and quality deviations.
Audit Support:
Conduct regular internal quality audits of the production floor and assist with external customer or regulatory audits.
Data & Reporting:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MRB rates, defect rates, and first-pass yield. Prepare daily and weekly quality reports for management.
Continuous Improvement:
Work with engineering and production teams to identify process bottlenecks and implement Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve product consistency.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure all testing and measuring equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
Who You Are:
3-5 years of progressive experience in quality assurance/control within an automotive manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) software and Google Workspace. Ability to thrive and make rapid, data-driven decisions in a high-pressure automotive environment. Confidence and authority to halt production lines or shipments if Harbinger's quality standards or safety protocols are compromised. Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate effectively with supply chain, production, and engineering teams.
