Restaurant Shift Leader Il Gatto Trattoria La Habra, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $22 an hour 11 hours ago Benefits Paid training Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Hospitality industry experience Full Job Description Restaurant Floor Lead (Part-Time) Il Gatto Trattoria | La Habra, CA Il Gatto Trattoria is looking for an experienced Restaurant Floor Lead to support the General Manager in the daily operations of our busy, full-service Italian restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines floor leadership with light administrative responsibilities. We're looking for someone who enjoys leading by example, creating exceptional guest experiences, and helping build a strong, positive team culture. This position is ideal for someone with solid restaurant experience who is ready to take on more leadership responsibilities while continuing to work alongside the team. Responsibilities Lead shifts and support the daily operation of the restaurant. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Coach, support, and motivate front-of-house team members during service. Deliver exceptional guest service and professionally resolve guest concerns. Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage. Help coordinate and book private dining events. Support event planning and execution. Complete cash handling and end-of-day paperwork. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and company standards throughout the restaurant. Ensure compliance with food safety, health department, and company policies. Communicate operational concerns and recommend solutions to the General Manager. Assist with training and developing new team members. Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and teamwork. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a full-service restaurant required. Previous leadership experience as a lead server, shift lead, floor lead, or supervisor preferred. Strong understanding of restaurant operations and hospitality. Excellent communication and guest service skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable coaching team members and leading by example. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Experience with Toast POS or Restaurant365 is a plus. Who You Are You naturally take ownership, enjoy supporting your team, and understand that hospitality starts with leadership.
