We are seeking a strong Floor Supervisor who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about developing teams while maintaining the highest standards of service. Position Summary The Floor Supervisor serves as the operational leader on the restaurant floor and acts as a direct extension of management. This position is responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, supporting staff development, maintaining service standards, and driving accountability throughout every shift. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is comfortable working alongside the team, resolving guest concerns, coaching employees in real time, and ensuring every guest leaves with an exceptional experience. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development Lead and supervise all front-of-house employees during service. Act as the manager-on-duty when assigned. Coach, train, and mentor servers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, bussers, and support staff. Hold employees accountable to company standards and policies. Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate operational priorities. Assist with onboarding and training of new team members. Document coaching conversations and communicate performance concerns to management. Guest Experience Ensure every guest receives exceptional hospitality from arrival to departure. Visit tables throughout service to engage with guests and identify opportunities for recovery. Resolve guest complaints professionally and effectively. Maintain strong knowledge of menu offerings, cocktails, wine, and daily specials. Support large parties, special events, and VIP experiences. Operational Excellence Monitor dining room flow and labor deployment. Ensure proper staffing levels throughout service. Maintain service timing standards and guest satisfaction metrics. Oversee opening, shift change, and closing procedures. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards. Monitor cleanliness and organization of all guest-facing areas. Financial Accountability Monitor labor efficiency and staffing needs. Assist management in controlling operating costs. Ensure proper cash handling and POS procedures. Prevent revenue loss through accurate check presentation and payment processing. Support sales initiatives and upselling opportunities. Standards & Accountability Enforce company policies, dress code requirements, and service expectations. Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Address performance issues immediately and professionally. Ensure all side work, opening duties, and closing duties are completed correctly. Foster a culture of teamwork, urgency, and accountability. Qualifications Minimum 2 years restaurant leadership experience. High-volume restaurant experience preferred. Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality operations. Experience with POS systems and restaurant scheduling software preferred. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
