Food Preparation Coordinator (Temporary)

$23•26/hour About the
Role:
We are seeking a Food Preparation Coordinator to support daily kitchen operations at a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) center. This role is responsible for coordinating meal services, ensuring food safety compliance, and overseeing kitchen staff to provide quality meals for participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate all food services, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and special events Oversee meal preparation, plating, and distribution Order food, supplies, and nutritional supplements; maintain inventory Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and CACFP requirements Monitor special diets (e.g., pureed, low sodium) and ensure accuracy Supervise and support kitchen staff and assist with training Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage areas, and equipment Track and document meal counts, temperatures, and required logs
Qualifications:
Food Handler Certificate (required) BLS certification (required) Minimum 2 years of food preparation experience (healthcare or senior care preferred) At least 1 year of kitchen leadership or supervisory experience (preferred) Bilingual (English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese) preferred but not required
Skills:
Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work in a team environment Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) Compassion and patience working with elderly populations
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 lbs Frequent bending, reaching, and movement throughout shift
Pay:
$24.00•$26.00 per hour
