We're seeking experienced and motivated Shift Leads to help guide our Norwalk team. If you have strong leadership skills and a passion for great service, we'd love to have you on board. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a solid understanding of food preparation and management. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant during your shift, training staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Manage staff schedules, including training new employees and conducting performance evaluations. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to maximize profitability. Collaborate with management to implement training and development programs for staff. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership. Qualifications Previous experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant is required; casual dining or fine dining experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and production techniques. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and inventory control practices. Proven supervisory experience in a restaurant or food service setting is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations effectively. Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management, training, and development. Knowledge of culinary practices, kitchen management, and food safety regulations is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
