Employment Type Direct Hire Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Sales for an established national food distribution and manufacturing organization. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Pico Rivera, CA.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Sales will lead branch-level sales strategy, team performance, customer growth, and profitability for an established organization serving the bakery and food industry. This highly visible leadership position will oversee the sales function while partnering closely with branch and corporate leadership to expand market share, strengthen key customer relationships, and achieve ambitious revenue goals. The ideal candidate brings strong bakery industry knowledge, a strategic sales mindset, and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing sales organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and execute branch sales strategy, establishing goals, action plans, territory strategies, and performance expectations aligned with company objectives.

Drive revenue, profitability, and market share by managing pricing strategy, sales programs, product initiatives, and overall sales performance.

Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, including territory planning, performance management, staffing, training, and succession development.

Partner with branch management, marketing, regional sales leadership, and other functional teams to introduce new products, execute sales initiatives, and identify opportunities for continued growth.

Maintain strong relationships with key customers and foster a highly responsive, service-oriented sales culture focused on long-term customer success.

Monitor sales and financial performance, analyze results against established goals, and implement appropriate strategies and corrective actions to achieve branch expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong sales leadership experience within the bakery industry, with a solid understanding of bakery products, ingredients, customers, and market dynamics.

Demonstrated success leading and developing sales teams while driving revenue growth, profitability, and market share.

Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience in pricing strategy, budgeting, forecasting, territory planning, and performance analysis.

Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple levels of an organization.

Proficiency with standard business technology and a valid driver's license, with the ability to travel regularly to support customers and business needs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position offers a base salary of $130,000 to $150,000 annually, plus eligibility for a 20% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). In addition to competitive compensation, this opportunity offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee health, wellness, and financial security.
