The Opportunity:
We're looking for a motivated Shift Leader to join our team at our San Mateo location. This position is ideal for someone with restaurant experience who enjoys leading a team, supporting daily operations, and providing excellent customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will work closely with management to ensure each shift runs smoothly, food quality and safety standards are followed, and team members receive the support and direction they need.
What You'll Do:
Lead the
Shift:
Take responsibility for daily shift operations and help keep the team organized, productive, and focused.
Support and Train Team Members:
Provide clear direction, coach team members, and help train new employees on Onigilly procedures and standards.
Provide Outstanding Service:
Greet customers, resolve basic customer concerns, and ensure the team provides friendly and efficient service.
Maintain Food Quality:
Monitor food preparation, presentation, portioning, freshness, and recipe compliance.
Support Food Safety:
Ensure proper food handling, temperatures, labeling, FIFO, cleaning, sanitation, and other food safety procedures are followed.
Manage Front-Line Operations:
Monitor product levels and PARs throughout the shift and ensure the team maintains proper backups.
Support Prep and Inventory:
Help monitor prep levels, product usage, waste, and inventory needs.
Opening and Closing:
Complete assigned opening or closing responsibilities and ensure required checklists are completed accurately. Maintain a
Clean Restaurant:
Ensure the kitchen, front line, dining area, equipment, and storage areas remain clean and organized.
Handle POS Operations:
Support cash handling, POS procedures, order accuracy, and customer transactions. Communicate with

Report staffing concerns, product shortages, equipment issues, customer concerns, and operational issues promptly. Set the
