Head Server must have experience as a lead server or manager at a Japanese sushi restaurant. As the Head Server/Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensure outstanding guest experiences, and manage staff to uphold our high standards of food quality, safety, and hospitality. Your enthusiasm and management skills will drive the success of our vibrant dining environment, fostering a positive atmosphere for both guests and team members. Duties Lead and supervise the front-of-house team, including servers, and support staff, ensuring smooth shift operations. Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards in line with restaurant policies. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling. Conduct staff training sessions on food safety, customer service, and food handling procedures to promote continuous development. Control inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies; implement effective inventory management practices. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure exceptional dining experiences. Assist in kitchen management tasks, including food production coordination and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Support budgeting efforts by monitoring sales performance and controlling operational costs. Participate in interviewing and hiring new team members to build a skilled and motivated staff. Maintain a clean, organized work environment aligned with safety standards and hospitality best practices. Skills Proven experience in food service management within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments. Strong leadership skills with a background in supervising teams and managing restaurant operations. Expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experienced in cash handling procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. Knowledge of inventory control methods and food management systems. Experience with kitchen management, catering services, banquet operations or hotel food services is a plus. Ability to train staff effectively while fostering a collaborative team environment. Skilled in shift management, restaurant management software, budgeting, and hospitality standards. Strong communication skills paired with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
