Job Description

Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Cafe Supervisor to lead our food and beverage team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure top-quality food and beverage service, manage staff, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety. Your leadership will inspire a team dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where guests and co-workers alike feel valued and satisfied. Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent service delivery Help guide training, and development to foster a motivated and skilled team Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to maintain high quality standards, including storage and service of our signature Italian Ice. Utilize POS systems to conduct transactions, and online employee management software to approve time cards and make schedules. Monitor stock rotation, and communicate product needs with management for timely replenishment. Enforce food safety regulations and ensure compliance with health standards across all areas of the cafe Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive overall experience Manage shift transitions efficiently to maximize productivity while maintaining high service standards Oversight of the on-course food and beverage cart in peak seasons and during events. Assist with catering events, banquet services, or special functions as needed to support the golf course. Requirements 1 year supervisory or shift lead experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment with supervising responsibilities preferred. 2+ year background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally Demonstrated leadership skills with staff training & development expertise Knowledge of hospitality management principles including shift management and team supervision. Previous experience in casual dining or hotel food service environments is highly desirable Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Food industry knowledge including culinary experience, kitchen management, and catering operations Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, stoop, lift, turn and scoop for up to 8 hour shifts. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work. Current California Food Handler's Card. Current California TIPS certification. Must be able to work in different environments, including walk-in freezers, refrigerators, hot kitchens and outdoors.
