Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Kitchen Supervisor for the Chamberlain in West Hollywood, CA About The Role The Kitchen Supervisor at Chamberlain in West Hollywood, CA, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of all food services within the establishment. This position is responsible for overseeing daily activities, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and fostering a welcoming environment for guests. The supervisor will lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while adhering to health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with other departments to optimize service efficiency and contribute to the overall success of the venue. Ultimately, the Kitchen Supervisor ensures that all guests enjoy a memorable dining experience that aligns with Chamberlain's brand reputation and operational goals. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred. At least 2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage operations within a hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications Certification in food safety or alcohol service (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS). Experience working in upscale or boutique hotel food and beverage settings. Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software. Leadership training or management certification. Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish or other languages relevant to the local community. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily food and beverage operations to ensure smooth service delivery. Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to maintain high levels of customer service and operational excellence. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to prevent shortages or excess waste. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in all food and beverage areas. Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to address guest needs and resolve any service issues promptly. Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing labor costs effectively. Conduct regular inspections of service areas to maintain cleanliness and organization. Support the implementation of promotional activities and special events related to food and beverage services. Skills The Food & Beverage Supervisor utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to guide and motivate the team, ensuring that service standards are consistently met or exceeded. Organizational skills are essential for managing schedules, inventory, and coordinating with multiple departments to maintain operational flow. Problem-solving abilities are frequently applied to address guest concerns and resolve service challenges efficiently. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is critical to uphold compliance and protect guest health. Additionally, proficiency with technology such as POS systems enhances accuracy in order processing and inventory tracking, contributing to overall operational success and other responsibilities as assigned.
