As the first U.S. location of a highly regarded Malaysian brand with 13 restaurants overseas, we are proud to bring a health-forward culinary experience to Greenwood Village. Located beside our sister day spa Jalan Facial Spa, our concept blends vibrant Southeast Asian traditions with modern wellness values. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Kitchen Supervisor to support our culinary team and ensure smooth, efficient kitchen operations. This role is essential in maintaining high food quality, safety standards, and a positive team environment while contributing to the overall success and growth of the business. The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities Kitchen Operations & Leadership Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and consistency Lead, train, and support back-of-house staff Delegate tasks and maintain clear communication across the team Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment Address team concerns and assist with conflict resolution Chef & Management Support Assist Executive Chef and Sous Chef with line checks and quality control Complete temperature logs, prep lists, and inventory counts Support ordering and inventory management Act as a communication bridge between kitchen staff and management Inventory & Organization Order food and kitchen supplies based on business needs Maintain organized storage for all kitchen and dry goods Ensure proper stock rotation and minimize waste Food Safety & Compliance Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety standards Maintain compliance with sanitation, health department, and company policies Oversee opening and closing procedures Cleanliness & Hands-On Support Keep kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready at all times Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and equipment cleaning as needed Performance & Accountability Monitor staff productivity and provide coaching and feedback Support performance documentation and team development Assist with disciplinary actions when necessary Education & Certifications Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred (1-3 years) ServSafe Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification required (or ability to obtain within a set timeframe) Experience & Skills Previous back-of-house experience required; supervisory experience preferred Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Advanced knife skills and solid culinary fundamentals Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to cleanliness and detail Team-oriented with a strong work ethic Basic computer skills (Google Workspace a plus) Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift 25-50 lbs Availability Full-time position with open availability required Why Join Us?
