The Food & Beverage (F&B) Supervisor is responsible for managing operations of our F&B locations throughout Lake Compounce. Full-time Food & Beverage Supervisor Roles & Responsibilities:
The Food & Beverage (F& B) Supervisor is r esponsible for managing operations of our F&B locations throughout Lake Compounce . The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include overseeing all F&B locations and hosts , food safety and sanitation, guest service, food preparation, monitoring financial transactions, and quality controls. Role & Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Provide enhanced support to front-line h osts, with a primary focus on delivering hands-on, in-person training at park stands to elevate service standards Maintain a full-time leadership presence across all operating hours and days during peak full-time operations to ensure seamless execution Drive consistency and excellence in F&B operations, ensuring peak product quality and optimal invento ry availability Actively manage in-park labor and staffing levels to maximize efficiency and directly reduce guest wait times Mentor and develop seasonal management staff to build robust bench strength and cultivate future leadership Reinforce and uphold strict food safety practices and regulatory standards through continuous, active oversight Monitor cost of sales and enforce waste-mitigation standards to maximize food and beverage profitability Supervisory Duties:
Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Lake Compounce and Herschend's core values and Lead with Love principles Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned hosts and leadership Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all assigned F&B positions and backfill these positions when needed Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including training, performance coaching, and discipline Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Connecticut law Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities Handles and resolves escalated guest concerns and criticisms with a positive attitude to deescalate Interfaces with maintenance on all equipment or physical plant needs All other duties assigned by leadership Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred; Equivalent work experience will also be considered 2-3 years of previous work experience in food service, quick service, or restaurant setting . Multi-unit management experience preferred 1+ previous supervisory experience a plus, preferably in a food or restaurant setting Previous amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plus Must become Food Handler Safety Certified ( ServSafe or similar) or become so within 90 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines Previous experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plus Language:
Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Connecticut Child Labor Laws Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must have negative TB test results within the last 2 years Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift s Ability to comply with all uniform policies Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all state, and local food preparation and serving regulations Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines, and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders Ability to withstand heat and humidity from the food preparation equipment Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more Working Conditions:
This role will be based in one or more food stall and/or restaurant locations throughout the park , with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, and heavily populated environments Team member benefits: Why Palace Entertainment?
