Compass Hotel Flagler Beach is now hiring a Front of House Supervisor to join our restaurant team and oversee operations at our outlets, Salty Rim and Chill Bar . Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Restaurant Front of House Supervisor to lead our hospitality team with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this vital role, you will oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, smooth shift management, and efficient team coordination. Your leadership will foster a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and staff are motivated to deliver their best. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your management skills in a dynamic dining setting, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our restaurant. Responsibilities Supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of service. Manage daily shift operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Oversee customer interactions to guarantee a positive dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy. Control inventory levels for front-of-house supplies, monitor stock rotation, and coordinate with kitchen management for timely food and beverage replenishment. Enforce food safety standards and hygiene protocols in compliance with health regulations. Assist in hiring, interviewing, onboarding new team members, and conducting ongoing staff training to promote a skilled and motivated team. Analyze end of day reports from POS to monitor discounts, voids, or payment errors. Support management with event planning like banquets or catering services, and special promotions. Lead by example in demonstrating excellent customer service skills, team leadership, and managerial communication. Skills Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong supervisory capabilities. Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction handling. Skilled in food preparation basics, food handling safety protocols, and kitchen management principles. Demonstrated ability in managing hospitality teams through effective training, coaching, and team leadership. Strong understanding of inventory control practices along with food safety management standards. Excellent communication skills for supervising staff, interviewing candidates, and engaging with customers confidently. Competent in basic math for cash handling, budgeting analysis, and profit/loss assessments. Experience in managing restaurant operations during shifts with a focus on customer service excellence. Familiarity with culinary processes including food production, catering events, bar service experience, or coffee service is a plus. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
