Purpose:
To maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by ensuring quick, efficient, and professional service to ensure satisfaction.Essential Functions:
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be effective in handling problems in workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management
- Supervise and coordinate assigned shifts.
- Assist in overall supervision of the department as outlined in manager's job description.
- Check staff punctuality.
- Complete environmental checklist for dining room.
- Order daily supplies.
- Hold pre-meal meetings.
- Follow up on established training steps.
- Handle guest comments and complaints.
- Ensure guest satisfaction.
- Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
- Observe, teach, and correct staff's service.
- Monitor each guest's experience.
- Must be able work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Must lead by example, remain professional in all situations.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing proper uniform and name tag when working
- Comply at all times with Omni standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- To be thoroughly aquatinted with all technical equipment to fully utilize its capabilities and extend efficient service to hotel guests
- Assist with monthly inventory.
- Maintain a cash bank.
- Verifying guest room numbers for room charges.
- Interact with other departments to ensure guest needs are satisfied.
- Adhere to proper food handling procedures.
- Proper knowledge of equipment use and safety procedures.
- Do not leave merchandise unsecured
- Coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, queen-mary cart, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine
- Walk-in refrigerator, Room Service tables, hot boxes
- General office equipment such as computer, fax machine, copy machine, printer, telephones, hole punch, paper cutter, scissors, pen, pencil, paper, etc.
- Computer programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Corporate software programs such as Kronos WFC, Open Table, Synergy, and Epitome
- Interior of hotel, in the restaurant, kitchen and guestroom. Exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to food items and beverages.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 1 year supervisor experience
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Able to be on your feet for up to eight hours
Working Environment:
- Must be flexible with schedules including weekends and holidays
