Expectations Work 30+ hours a week minimum Must meet all of the expectations of a Team Member Big-picture mindset and ability to make small decisions to push the team towards that vision Must have developed leadership qualities that will aid in leading either zones or the store during peak and non-peak hours, including making key decisions in stressful situations, high communication with the kitchen and different zone leads, and being able to coach team members through various circumstances through high-stress environments. Must have an energy and enthusiasm that motivates the team to complete assigned tasks efficiently. Responsibilities Shepherd the team - Coach and encourage team members to foster growth Communicate daily with fellow shift leaders to convey any necessary information and ensure shift changes are executed seamlessly Ensure food safety knowledge is foundational learning for all team members. Maintain a clean, sanitary environment in BOH/FOH to set the standard of excellence, aid in minimizing food safety risks, and increase team morale. Create a high-energy atmosphere for our team, modeling a sense of urgency without making our guests feel rushed. Optimize guest experiences by ensuring that speed and accuracy are held in high regard without rushing guests. Lead Shifts - Continually anticipate problems, analyze circumstances, allocate resources While leading shifts, Shift Leaders are often the direct line of communication to BOH or FOH. Shift Leaders must communicate openly, yet respectfully, about specific needs and the best way to meet those needs. Directly impact the culture of your work atmosphere by your everyday actions and attitudes towards fellow team members and guests. Support other Certified Trainers, Shift Leaders, and Directors during shifts. Shift Leader Roles Handling guest complaints Counting/settling tills, safe balancing change fund, buying change Maintaining appropriate labor points throughout shifts, running breaks at appropriate times Ensuring peak hour readiness Leading specific zones during shifts Opening/Closing operations Delegating tasks for operational excellence Assessing quality of food and oil throughout the shift Fulfilling catering orders Successful Leaders will
