Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Food & Beverage Director to oversee and elevate the dining and beverage experience within a premier private lifestyle community. This individual will be responsible for creating an exceptional experience for members and guests while providing strong leadership across both Front and Back of House operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional with a minimum of 10 years of progressive Food & Beverage experience, strong leadership skills, and a genuine passion for service excellence. This position requires someone who understands the entire operation—from the kitchen to the dining room and bar—and is comfortable stepping in wherever needed to support the team. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all Food & Beverage operations, including dining, bar, service, events, and culinary coordination. Establish and maintain exceptional standards for hospitality, service, presentation, and guest experience. Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing Food & Beverage team. Partner closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure seamless Front and Back of House operations. Oversee beverage programs, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings. Manage staffing, scheduling, purchasing, inventory, food and beverage costs, and departmental budgets. Maintain a visible presence during service and actively support the team during busy periods and special events. Bring a strong understanding of both Front and Back of House operations, including the ability to assist the culinary team when needed. Support member events, private functions, special dinners, and other elevated hospitality experiences. Maintain the highest standards for sanitation, organization, safety, and operational efficiency. Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of progressive Food & Beverage management experience, preferably in luxury hospitality, private clubs, resorts, upscale restaurants, or similar environments. Demonstrated experience managing both Front and Back of House operations. Strong knowledge of hospitality, serving standards, beverage service, and elevated dining experiences. Demonstrated mixology and cocktail knowledge. Cooking experience or culinary background with the ability and willingness to assist the kitchen during high-volume periods when needed. Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team. Strong financial, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Professional, polished, and genuinely passionate about hospitality and service excellence. Selection Process Final candidates should be prepared to: Provide professional working references.
