Job Description Summary:
The Food Service Specialist manages the food program at the Center, food pick-up, service, deliveries and kitchen clean-up. Ensures food items are available, prepared, and served for all meals and snacks 5 days a week. Cooperates with the teaching staff to ensure a high quality food program for the children.

Job Summary The Food Service Specialist manages the food program at the Center, food pick-up, service, deliveries and kitchen clean-up. Ensures food items are available, prepared, and served for all meals and snacks 5 days a week. Cooperates with the teaching staff to ensure a high quality food program for the children. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Required Work Experience 1 or more years Food Service Required 1 or more years Managing a Food Service Operation. Preferred 1 or more years Using standard kitchen appliances safely and efficiently. Preferred Licenses and Certifications Essential Functions Maintains the food service program of the CDC. Maintains proper level of departmental inventory of foods, kitchen equipment, and supplies. Food pick up/delivery. Responsible for the cleanliness and condition of the kitchen and food service equipment of the CDC. Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Enjoys being with young children and meeting their nutritional needs.
