Culinary Supervisor The Tess Atlanta Buckhead- Marriott Autograph Collection Atlanta, GA Job Details $22 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Summary The Culinary Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring food quality, safety, cleanliness, and efficient production. This position provides leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, assists with training and scheduling, and helps maintain high standards of food preparation and guest satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and support kitchen staff during daily operations. Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to company recipes, standards, and specifications. Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation. Assist with training, coaching, and developing culinary team members. Maintain compliance with all health, sanitation, and food safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas. Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food products. Monitor labor and food costs and help control waste. Ensure proper staffing levels and assist with scheduling as needed. Address and resolve operational issues in a timely manner. Support special events, banquets, and catering functions as assigned. Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role. Banquets experience preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and sanitation standards. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain certification preferred. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
