Job Description
About the Role The Shift Supervisor at our Plant Based Cafe is part leader, part cook. You run the shift when the Kitchen Manager is off and you work the line the rest of the time. You are in the kitchen executing the menu, supporting your team, and holding the standard. You also play a key role in catering coordination and community relationship building. What You'll Do Run the shift and kitchen operations in the Kitchen Manager's absence Work the line alongside the team every shift — hands-on execution required Open and close the location per standard procedures Ensure food quality, portion control, and brand standards are maintained Coordinate and execute specialty vendor pickups as needed Support catering coordination and assist with catering contract management Assist with community outreach activities and local partnership development Monitor inventory levels and flag reorder needs to Kitchen Manager Complete temperature logs, void logs, and daily documentation accurately What We're Looking For 1-2 years kitchen or shift lead experience in fast-casual or café setting Experience in catering or community outreach a strong plus Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure Comfortable leading a small team while still working the line Openness to whole-food plant-based cooking — plant-based lifestyle not required Requirements Valid Georgia Food Handler Certificate ServSafe Food Manager Certification preferred Signed Confidentiality & Non-Replication Agreement Background check required
