Job Description

Pay Rate:
Min $$18.50 to Max $22.50 Summary The Sanitation Team Leader is responsible for leading and participating in the cleaning and sanitizing of facility areas to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety standards. Premium Peanut utilizes a Team Leader model with two Sanitation Team Leaders, with one Team Leader assigned to each sanitation shift. Team Leaders are working leaders who coordinate daily sanitation activities, assist with training, assign duties, and ensure sanitation activities are completed efficiently and safely for their assigned shift. Schedule & Coverage Expectations Premium Peanut assigns one Sanitation Team Leader to each of the two sanitation shift teams. Team Leaders work day shifts operating on a 2-2-3 rotation and are working leaders who perform hands-on sanitation work while leading their assigned teams. Together, the two Sanitation Team Leaders provide continuous sanitation leadership coverage seven (7) days per week for the full duration of both shifts Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead, train, and guide sanitation employees during the assigned shift to maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment. Assign daily sanitation tasks and monitor completion to ensure compliance with GMPs and food safety standards. Ensure compliance with food safety responsibilities and maintain a strong focus on GMPs. Participate directly in sanitation activities to support coverage and performance of the team. Coordinate sanitation needs and communicate issues or supply requirements to the Purchasing Manager and other members of management. Fill in for production employees as needed to maintain production schedules. Assist management with any other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This position is a working Team Leader role. The Sanitation Team Leader provides daily task direction and work coordination for sanitation employees during the assigned shift but does not have formal authority to hire, terminate, or discipline employees. Prior lead experience preferred. Mechanically inclined. Physical Demands Regular standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, ladder climbing up to 60 feet, and work at heights. Work Environment Position is located in a peanut processing facility with unavoidable exposure to peanut dust and elevated work areas. Hearing protection required.
