Overview Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for food service and team management? We're seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Supervisor to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and lead our talented staff to success. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind smooth shift execution, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and fostering a positive work environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise restaurant team members during your shift, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and proper food handling procedures. Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Square POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Coordinate inventory control activities, including stock replenishment, waste reduction, and ordering supplies to meet operational needs. Handle cash transactions with precision, balancing registers at shift end while maintaining accountability. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all areas of the restaurant. Train new staff members and provide ongoing development opportunities for existing team members to enhance their skills. Assist in managing kitchen operations, including food production, catering services, and special event setups like banquets or casual dining occasions. Support management in budgeting efforts, labor scheduling, and overall restaurant performance improvements. Foster a welcoming environment for guests by delivering outstanding customer service and resolving any issues promptly. Maintain a positive atmosphere that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Assist General manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations. Prepare and cook meats and sides according to established recipes and standards. Ensure food quality and presentation meet Smokehouse ATL BBQ standards. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Follow food safety regulations and sanitation protocols. Assist in preparing ingredients and managing kitchen inventory. Act as the general manager's representative in their absence. Qualifications 1-2 years of proven supervising or management experience within the food industry or quick service & fast food restaurant environments. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management. Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS for transaction processing. Experience in inventory control, food safety practices, and cash handling procedures. Knowledge of hospitality management principles including staff training & development, food service management, and customer relations. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage shift operations effectively. Excellent communication skills with experience in training and staff development. Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of service quality. Previous experience in casual dining or fine dining establishments is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
