Iowa Athletic Club, a sports bar and made-from-scratch restaurant located in the Iowa River Landing next to Xtream Arena, is looking for a Full-Time Front of House Shift Lead to join our team. We're looking for an experienced, professional leader who is passionate about guest service and thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Pay:
Starting at $19 per hour, based on experienceSchedule:
This is a full-time position. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is required. You can expect to work 3 to 4 leadership shifts each week, along with serving or bartending shifts as needed to support the team. Full-Time Benefits Paid Time Off- up to 2 weeks (10 days) Medical Insurance

- 6 free counseling sessions per issue, per year 25% off at 25+ Craft Concepts locations in Iowa, Omaha, Kansas City, and Missouri (Sunday-Thursday) Employee appreciation parties Responsibilities Lead and support the front-of-house team throughout each shift, including pre-shift meetings Deliver fast, friendly service by coaching team members and monitoring performance Jump into any front-of-house position as needed, including hosting, serving, bartending, or expo Coach and develop team members while maintaining high service standards Engage with guests, resolve concerns professionally, and create memorable experiences Monitor restaurant equipment and facility needs, reporting concerns to the AGM and GM Uphold and coach the 15 Rules of Hospitality Maintain a clean, organized, and positive work environment while effectively prioritizing tasks Communicate clearly with team members and leadership through in-person conversations, meetings, and digital communication tools Skills and Qualifications Minimum 2 years of relevant restaurant experience Must be 21 years of age or older ServSafe certified or willing to obtain certification Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Professional appearance with a positive, energetic attitude Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds Flexibility to stay later when needed to help cover call-ins or busy service periods Iowa Athletic Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer #hc254770
