Job Description

Tribute Eatery & Bar in Coralville, IA is looking for a full-time Kitchen Lead to join our team. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, enjoys leading by example, and takes pride in serving high-quality food, we'd love to meet you. This is a working leadership role where you'll help oversee daily kitchen operations, support and develop the team, and keep the kitchen running efficiently. Working alongside the management team, you'll help create a positive culture while ensuring food quality, safety, and consistency every shift.
Pay:
Starting at $20/hour, with higher pay based on experience. Full-Time Benefits Paid Time Off starting at 2 weeks per year, with additional PTO based on years of service Medical insurance options with Tribute paying 50% of the employee premium Dental and vision insurance 401(k) with discretionary employer match for eligible employees Benefits for All Team Members Employee Assistance Program with up to six counseling sessions per issue each year 25% off food for you and up to seven guests 25% off alcoholic beverages for yourself 25% off food at more than 20 Craft Concepts restaurants for you and one guest, Sunday through Thursday Opportunities to grow your career within our company What You'll Do Lead and support the kitchen team throughout each shift Coach, train, and mentor cooks, dishwashers, and other back-of-house team members Help build schedules and monitor labor needs Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards Oversee food preparation and kitchen workflow Ensure cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards are maintained Assist with inventory, ordering, and controlling food waste Help manage food and labor costs Promote and enforce food safety procedures Inspect equipment and report maintenance concerns Maintain a safe work environment Address food quality concerns when they arise Complete kitchen records and other operational documentation Perform additional responsibilities as needed Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old At least one year of kitchen experience Previous leadership or training experience is a plus Able to work on your feet for extended periods in a busy kitchen Able to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working around hot equipment, steam, and kitchen machinery Tribute Eatery & Bar is an equal employment opportunity employer #hc254765
