Director of Food & Beverage Chicago, IL | Full-Time |Salaried Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago Salary Range:
$125,000-$150,000 Annually Position Overview Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Food & Beverage to lead all food and beverage operations across the hotel while delivering exceptional Forbes Five-Star guest experiences. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing restaurant, bar, banquet, catering, and in-room dining operations, driving financial performance, developing department leaders, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the Food & Beverage division. The ideal candidate is an accomplished hospitality leader with extensive luxury hotel experience, exceptional business acumen, and a passion for delivering world-class service. Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership for all Food & Beverage operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
- Monitor the productivity and performance of all Food & Beverage divisions.
- Develop and execute departmental goals, objectives, and operating strategies that align with the hotel's business plan.
- Generate and analyze financial statements, operational reports, and performance metrics.
- Maximize departmental profitability through effective budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and cost controls.
- Develop annual operating budgets, staffing forecasts, payroll plans, and expense management strategies.
- Recruit, hire, mentor, coach, evaluate, and develop Food & Beverage department heads and team members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all Food & Beverage outlets.
- Ensure the hotel's standards for hiring, associate relations, performance management, and disciplinary procedures are consistently upheld.
- Partner with Culinary, Catering, Banquets, Restaurant Operations, and other hotel departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, service standards, cleanliness, and operational consistency throughout the hotel.
- Respond to and resolve guest concerns professionally while ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction.
- Lead departmental meetings and participate in executive leadership meetings as required.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) on a rotating basis.
- Support special events, VIP experiences, and other operational initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Education
- Four-year college degree in Hotel Management or a related field required. Experience
- Minimum of three years of progressive management experience within a luxury or deluxe hotel environment.
- Previous leadership experience overseeing multiple Food & Beverage outlets, catering, and banquet operations required.
- Proven success managing financial performance, labor costs, and operational budgets. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of luxury Food & Beverage operations and Forbes-level service standards.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations, banquet service, catering, and in-room dining.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international wines, spirits, cocktails, and beverage programs.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to effectively resolve guest concerns while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to excellence in guest service and associate engagement. Licenses & Certifications
BASSET/TIPS
certification preferred.- ServSafe City of Chicago certification preferred.
