Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Supervisor, for our sister property Elements by the odyssey, to lead our culinary team and ensure the smooth operation of our food service facilities. In this role, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, manage food production and safety standards, and coordinate with various departments to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your leadership will drive team performance, uphold high-quality food standards, and maintain efficient kitchen operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and management skills while fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere. Responsibilities Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure timely service and presentation excellence. Lead, motivate, and manage kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and professional development. Oversee inventory management, including stock control, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Ensure compliance with all food safety sanitizing procedures, health regulations, and sanitation standards to guarantee a safe dining environment. Coordinate menu planning in collaboration with culinary staff to meet quality standards and accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests. Skills Extensive banquet experience with the ability to oversee large-scale catering events. Proven supervising experience in a busy kitchen or restaurant setting. Strong background in food handling procedures. Expertise in food production, and culinary techniques across fine dining environments. Exceptional team management skills with a focus on leadership and staff development. Knowledge of inventory control systems and food cost management strategies. Proficiency in food safety sanitizing procedures, cooking methods, and kitchen management practices. Experience in food service management within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Familiarity with catering services and shift management protocols. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
