Shift Leader

Shift Leader Job Description The Shift Leader assists with the daily operations of the restaurant, filling in for the General Manager or Assistant Manager as needed. They ensure the restaurant meets McAlister's standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation by supervising staff and handling issues with team members, suppliers, and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise restaurant operations during assigned shifts. Create a positive experience for team members and guests. Manage front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) staff, including scheduling and controlling labor costs. Ensure timely service for a positive guest experience. Handle guest complaints and concerns. Maintain McAlister's standards for food quality, cleanliness, and safety. Assist with training new and current team members. Enforce uniform policies and proper cash handling. Open and close the restaurant when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Supervise effectively and safely. Adapt to change and work as part of a team. Manage multiple tasks and stay organized. Maintain high energy levels.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience in food service management. Reliable transportation and a valid DL. Experience in fast-paced environments. Must possess great organizational and communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to stand for most of the shift and move around quickly. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong sensory skills (vision, hearing, smell, etc.). This is an Hourly position
