Full-Time | Leadership Role Dining Services Director / Executive Chef•Senior Living Calumet Trace Senior Living, located in Owensboro, KY , is seeking a passionate and experienced Dining Services Director / Executive Chef to lead our dining operations within an assisted living community. Position Summary The Dining Services Director / Executive Chef is responsible for the overall management and success of the Dining Services Department , ensuring the highest standards of food quality, service, safety, and hospitality. This role oversees menu planning, food preparation, staff leadership, budgeting, and regulatory compliance while delivering a dining experience that enhances residents' daily lives. This leader promotes a strong understanding among team members that dining services play a critical role in resident wellbeing, satisfaction, and community reputation. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all dining services operations for the community Establish and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service Plan menus that meet resident preferences, nutritional needs, and budget guidelines Recruit, train, schedule, and develop dining services staff Maintain appropriate staffing levels and food/supply inventory Manage department budgets, food costs, and labor productivity Oversee purchasing, receiving, storage, and inventory control Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Promote energy conservation, waste reduction, and portion control Foster a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture focused on service excellence Qualifications & Experience Previous experience as a Dining Services Director, Executive Chef, or Kitchen Manager Assisted Living, Senior Living, Healthcare, or Hospitality experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of budgeting, food cost controls, and inventory management Proven leadership and staff development experience Working knowledge of kitchen sanitation, food safety, and regulatory standards Passion for hospitality and enhancing resident quality of life Pay, Benefits & Perks Competitive salary: $50,000•60,000 annually Get paid today with ZayZoon Free medical insurance plan available Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance options Paid Training, Paid Time Off (PTO), and Holiday Pay Career growth and advancement opportunities Reliable hours and a stable leadership schedule Supportive work environment where your voice is heard and respected
