A Restaurant or Food Service Supervisor supervises food preparation and staff for a restaurant or dining hall. Manages budget for food supplies, equipment and staff; hires and trains staff; monitors food safety procedures. May plan menus or work with chefs or dieticians to plan menus. Works in a school, hospital, nursing home or other institution.

The Shift Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, overseeing daily shift operations, and supporting direct care staff to ensure quality services and care.
General Statement of Duties:
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of assigned shifts, ensuring that residential areas are adequately staffed and that active treatment plans are implemented on schedule. The Shift Supervisor will monitor, observe, and provide redirection and training to direct care professionals across multiple locations throughout the day.

Shift Assessments:
At the start of each shift, assess residential areas to confirm staffing needs, ensuring adequate coverage.
Treatment Plan Monitoring:
Review the census and active treatment plans while on location to confirm services are being provided according to each resident's needs. Provide training to direct care staff as required to meet treatment plan goals.
Policy Enforcement:
Take corrective action with any direct care worker found in violation of policies, including placing them on administrative leave until further guidance is received from their supervisor or Human Resources.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to behavioral and medical emergencies, offering leadership, guidance, and support to staff to ensure proper handling of situations.
Observations and Training:
Complete required observations and activities in assigned areas, including staff redirection, training, and corrective action. This includes supervision of meal preparation, hygiene, medication administration, and other essential tasks outlined in the duty books.
Property Monitoring:
Ensure the safety and security of the facility by monitoring company property, including grounds, supplies, and vehicles. Address any misuse or safety concerns.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document, report, and respond to incidents or issues in assigned areas following established policies and procedures. Resolve problems that arise during shifts within the scope of authority.
Behavior Management:
Ensure accurate implementation of behavior management plans, behavior modification programs, and training goals for each resident.
Emergency Evacuation:
Provide leadership and assistance to residents and staff during emergencies, disasters, and evacuations, including coordinating evacuation procedures.
Other Duties:
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or administration.
Requirements:
Experience:
At least 2 years of supervisory experience required.
License/Certification:
Must possess a valid driver's license and obtain a chauffeur's license within 40 days of employment.
Schedule:
2pm -10pm with two consecutive weekday pass days
