The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for the food industry and the ability to keep a busy kitchen running smoothly, efficiently and to our high standards.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional kitchen experience required. Previous kitchen management or supervisory experience preffered. Must be capable of working all kitchen station, including saute, flat top/grill, fry, pantry. Must be experienced and comfortable with shucking and grilling oysters. Strong Leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Passion for quality food, cleanliness, and hospitality. Reliable, dependable, and willing to lead by example.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Lead, support and motivate kitchen staff throughout each shift. Provide training, guidance, and support to team members as needed. Work alongside the kitchen team and step into any station when necessary, including in the absence of, or in the case of relieving a staff member of their station. Oversee food preparation, cooking and presentation to ensure quality standards are consistently met. Take responsibility for pot cooking and production, working alongside fellow Kitchen Supervisors. Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards. Monitor inventory and stock levels and coordinate ordering with management. Help minimize food waste and maintain proper portion control. Conduct regular insepctions of kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness, safety, and finctionality. Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing, inventory, equipment and operations. Address kitchen issues quickly and professionally to keep service moving. Lead by example and help maintain a positive, professional kitchen environment.
