Job Description

Job Overview:
At Kured, we're more than a café and charcuterie shop—we're a place where great food, hospitality, and community come together. We specialize in handcrafted breakfast and lunch offerings, custom charcuterie boards, and exceptional catering, all served with welcoming energy and attention to detail. We're looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Shift Leader to help lead our team and deliver an outstanding guest experience.
What You'll Do Basic Responsibilities Food Preparation & Handling:
Preparing ingredients, cooking/heating food, measuring, weighing, assembling dishes, and ensuring quality standards.
Customer Service:
Greeting guests, taking orders, serving food/drinks, handling payments (POS system), answering questions (allergens/nutrition), and resolving complaints.
Cleanliness & Sanitation:
Maintaining spotless workstations, dining areas, kitchen, and adhering to strict health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
Operations Support:
Stocking shelves/coolers, put away deliveries, restock, wash dishes, take out trash, clean tables and windows, and assisting other staff. Follow opening, mid-shift and closing checklists.
Teamwork:
Collaborating with kitchen and service staff for efficient workflow, communication, and a positive environment.
Punctuality:
Show up on time and when you clock in to your shift you are ready to work Leadership & Team Support Lead the team during assigned shifts by setting the tone with professionalism, positivity, and care Organizing shift schedules for team members Monitoring attendance, tardiness and time off Assigning duties to specific employees based on role and skills Supervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessary Support onboarding and training of new team members Monitor labor hours and adjust shift hours during operations in accordance to volume of business/ sales. For example, during slower days/ business hours send employees home early or during busy days/ hours bring in employees earlier or request extra staff to work a specific shift Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members feel supported and confident Communicate clearly with management about shift performance, challenges, and wins Work alongside team members during service and food preparation periods Service & Guest Experience Deliver exceptional, warm, and knowledgeable customer service Ensure sandwiches, charcuterie, and catering orders meet Kured quality and presentation standards Address guest questions or concerns with professionalism and care Maintain a welcoming, calm, and efficient service environment Operations & Quality Standards Oversee opening, mid-day, and closing procedures as assigned Ensure food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are consistently met Monitor prep levels, restocking, and product rotation Multi-task and delegate out tasks to ensure everyone is working efficiently Ensure dishes are being washed throughout the shift Handle POS responsibilities Ensure the space is organized, stocked, and ready for service Financial & Inventory Manage cash drawers, balance registers, and handle bank deposits. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and receive deliveries. Health & Safety Enforce food safety, sanitation, and company policy compliance. Maintain cleanliness and order in all areas of the restaurant. Reporting Complete daily reports and communicate shift summaries to management. Accountability & Ownership Lead by example in punctuality, reliability, and work ethic Uphold Kured values, policies, and standards at all times Take ownership of shift flow and problem-solve as needed Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented culture What we are looking for Previous food service or hospitality experience required Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays A positive attitude and willingness to lead by example Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Passion for food, hospitality, and team leadership Ability to multi-task, delegate, and prioritize tasks Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate items Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
License/Certification:
