This role involves coordinating staff activities, monitoring service quality, assisting with employee training, and ensuring that dining and service areas remain clean and organized. The ideal candidate has strong communication and leadership skills and can work effectively in a busy diner environment. Key Responsibilities Support daily restaurant operations and guest-service activities. Coordinate staff assignments and workflow throughout each shift. Guide and support servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and other team members. Monitor food quality, order accuracy, cleanliness, and service standards. Assist with onboarding, training, and coaching restaurant employees. Respond to guest questions, requests, and routine service concerns professionally. Help maintain efficient order flow and timely guest service. Monitor food, beverage, and restaurant supply levels. Assist with organizing, restocking, and tracking supplies. Support POS operations and routine cash-handling procedures. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dining and service areas. Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational checklists. Communicate staffing and operational needs to restaurant management. Follow food-safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company procedures. Qualifications Previous restaurant, diner, café, hospitality, or food-service experience. Previous supervisory, shift-lead, or team-lead experience is preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills. Reliable, organized, and comfortable taking responsibility. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant procedures. Ability to support and motivate team members.
